Glitch Union Negotiated Juneteenth Off

We are so proud of the glitch workers bargaining for the recognition of Juneteenth as a holiday; tech workers must stand up for racial justice as an integral part of their fight for power in the workplace!

Quote: “Juneteenth has, for too long, failed to be given the recognition it deserves by non-Black Americans. We’re grateful to now have this day officially marked as a holiday at Glitch, to not only celebrate it, but also give us time to reflect on the ongoing impact of white supremacy — such as the violence we’re seeing every day in America, with police being 2.5 times more likely to kill a black person than a white person. It’s a small step in our fight towards true racial justice in America.”
